  • Who is your ideal client?
I particularly enjoy working with the following groups of people: students, people with a new diagnosis, and those with chronic illness.
  • What are your qualifications?
I have a master's degree in applied psychology from the University of New Orleans where I studied Autism assessment, ethics, different testing modalities, and psychopathology among other things. I also have over 3 years of experience working one-on-one daily with people on the Autism spectrum. I received my ADHD coaching training from Carol Gignoux, a pioneer of ADHD & executive function coaching, and went on to earn my Certified ADHD Coaching Practitioner (CACP) credentials from the Professional Association for ADHD Coaches (PAAC). PAAC is the only credentialing body specifically for ADHD coaches. I have been coaching students since 2019 and have been coaching college students at The New School since 2021.
  • Will coaching be a good fit for me?
That depends. Are you ready and willing to make changes? If not, I hear you. Change is scary and hard. Let me ask you this, though... What would you like to be different about your life? How would it feel if you had an action plan for your challenges? What would it look like if you were able to find a way to operate with how your brain is wired? What would be possible if you weren't surrounded by chaos and overwhelm? What are the chaos and overwhelm costing you? You don't have to be stuck. Growth is an option, and it happens to be my favorite. If that sounds good to you, please reach out and let's chat.
  • What is ADHD Coaching?
ADHD coaches collaborate with their clients to work towards specific goals and address needs. We explore what ADHD means for you, ways you manage your symptoms, and set up systems and solutions to assist with your executive functioning. During our time together, we will explore how your brain works, what academic, vocational, emotional, and interpersonal struggles you are running into, and most importantly, we will work together to overcome these challenges. Yes, you put in the work, but your coach will be right there with you, keeping you accountable without the judgement. We both know that there are a million things that can get in the way, and while that may slow you down, we don't have to let it stop you.
  • What makes someone a qualified ADHD coach?
Take a look at their education, certifications, and credentials. There are a lot of coach training programs out there, and they are definitely not created equal. First, you want someone who is specifically trained in ADHD to be on your care team. This comes first because even therapists can do harm if they don't understand the ins and outs. Imagine being asked why you did something impulsive that didn't make sense or why you're procrastinating if you care so much. Alternatively, you could have someone who doesn't even have to ask because they know that those things are just a part of ADHD and instead gives you some strategies to help curb the impulsiveness or to get started. Second, you want someone who is a trained coach. The Professional Association of ADHD Coaches (PAAC) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) are credentialing organizations with rigorous testing processes that require observed sessions, a certain number of coaching hours, and continuing education in order to maintain credentials. PAAC has the extra requirement of having ADHD knowledge be a core skill for their credentialed coaches.
